I integrate the forum(smf),the site(joomla),the portal(php,jscript) and the blog(wordpress), with only one login. The versions used are:

Wordpress 2.7.1
joomla 1.5.23
smf 1.1.14

I use those plug-in for integration:

smf plug-in: SMF_Wordpress 1.25.1
wordpress plug-in:WP & SMF 1.09
joomla plug-in: jfusion 1.5.6

the integration work in this way:

wordpress and joomla not comunicate each other so i use smf as a bridge.
wordpress plugin is a bridge connected to smf plugin, so all user registered or deleted in smf, are immediately registered or deleted in wordpress.The other worpress settings are set in wordpress.
Joomla plugin read from smf the user and password, and if exist create the user, if not can’t login anymore, the other joomla-settings are set in joomla.

Those plug-in have some errors and must correct some line of code, to work.
The version in use of those software are the last functionally,max update possibly with those plug-in.
So i can’t upgrade smf to last version 2.0 or joomla to version 1.7 or wordpress to 3.
BUT smf is the last most stable, as joomla. Wordpress version is the only a bit old, but i use it only to write some news of projects. The discussions are on forum zone, and the main project and download are on site zone

l’integrazione funziona in questo modo:

wordpress e joomla non possono comunicare fra loro e quindi ho usato il forum smf come ponte.
wordpress plugin e’ un pone di connessione verso il plug-in di smf, e quindi tutti gli utenti creati o cancellati in smf,sono immediatamente registrati o cancellati in wordpress,la password e’ sempre unica.I settaggi delle altre opzioni sia in wordpress che in smf sono invece indipendenti.
Joomla plugin legge da smf l’utente e la password,e se l’utente esiste crea il nuovo user, altrimenti se e’ stato cancellato o non esiste , non permette il logon,gli altri settaggi di joomla sono indipendenti.

Questi plug-in hanno vari errori ed imperfezioni,e bisogna correggere qualche riga di codice per farli funzionare correttamente, soprattutto fra smf e wordpress.
Le versioni in uso dei software hanno il max upgrade possibile per questi plug-in.
Quindi non posso upgradare smf alla versione 2 o joomla alla versione 1.7 or wordpress alla versione 3.
Ma e’ anche vero che la versione corrente di smf e joomla sono le piu’ stabili, e solo la versione di wordpress risulta un po’ datata,ma dato che uso wordpress solo per scrivere le news riguardo ai progetti, non mi importa per ora.
Le discussioni principali si trovano sul forum e i progetti finiti con i download nella zona sito.
